The Tough Talk
As an athlete and coach, I believe in the power of transparency. I've had my share of victories, moments where the hard work paid off and the thrill of success was overwhelming. But I've also faced setbacks, injuries, and defeats that tested my resilience and forced me to grow.
These experiences have shaped my approach to both competing and coaching. I understand that progress isn't always linear, and that setbacks are opportunities for learning and improvement. I strive to create an environment where athletes feel comfortable sharing their struggles, knowing that vulnerability is a strength, not a weakness.
By openly discussing both the highs and lows, I hope to foster a culture of trust, support, and continuous growth. Together, we can learn from each other's experiences and push ourselves to become better athletes and, more importantly, better people.

Squamish 50/50 – Did Not Start Day 2
Sunday, August 17th, 2025

The Squamish 50/50 event is a 2 Day event where you take part in the 50-mile course on the Saturday, and the 50km course on the Sunday. I was successful in completing the 50 Mile course and setting a Personal Best in the 50-mile time of 12:22:06 but had made the decision to not start the 50km on Sunday. I can speak further to this set back as we work together to help talk about mindset and discipline.
